Lost Silence

Jimi Hendrix On Stage Fender Stratocaster

Lost Silence

abstract ideologies
stiff in my head
in my own silence

a slip in heartbeat
in a millisecond signal

light of night
terminates fear
muted amusement

luminous stars
as full moon rises
in a windless night

apostates speak
sirens clamor
blaring Stratocaster
lost silence

About zongrik

For those of you who do not know the handle "zongrik," that would be Bat-Ami Gordin. Most people call me "Tammy." Bat-Ami means "daughter of my nation" in Hebrew. It's a heavy name to carry around. I answer to either name. I also answer to "mama." Some Basic Things about me: Animal lover, mom, poet/writer, dramatic soprano, photographer, teacher/tutor, CERT/Technician and, oh yeah, aerospace engineer. I consider myself "The Astro-Poet." To learn more about the origins of the word "zongrik" see whats-a-zongrik?

  1. I loved it, so eloquent and beautiful about something that is so void and vacant! Well Done~

  2. bring on the noise!

  3. Asphyxiation, not a nice thing to happen at all.
Never did like Jimi Hendrix’s voice or his music, although I did admire his guitar playing as an extraordinary gifted talent. Very nice write.

  4. very cool, another lost note in the vast musical world.

  5. WoW…love this.
