loose collars
loose collars
a cracked face caught in a laugh
looming in one hundred years of nocturnal love
the pictures were the attraction
we forgot to breath
as our fingers were extended
i love the taste of a miracle
and put it in the back of a soup
immersing it in status quo
i spent too much on energy
proliferating here and there
frustrated in the sweetest pain
extending fingers in melodic hum
at the door of ecstasy
the world expanded
when i loosened my collar
negligent criminals
betrayed their friends
and forgot to breathe

Great use of ecstasy in this, a quite intriguing piece with such strong images… enjoyed it. Thanks for taking part in A Word with Laurie.
Cracked face caught in a laugh–wonderful image and poem. K.
whoosh, you should loosen your collar more often.
A really good piece of writing that makes one think. I like that! The last stanza is dynamite. Thanks for visiting my blog – I really appreciate your thoughts.

Very nice, liked it.
Deep. ‘Taste of a miracle put in the back of a soup’ is riveting.

The original Star Trek pairs nicely with an original poem.
Love the loose collar and your poem. Happy week ahead!
Z, found you at ABC and thought this was charming. Love the loose collar on Yeoman Smith, and Uhura got away with some awesome cleavage, too…
One note, the last word should be “breathe.” Hope you don’t mind the suggestion, but little typos can make the difference sometimes… Peace, Amy
