About zongrik

For those of you who do not know the handle "zongrik," that would be Bat-Ami Gordin. Most people call me "Tammy." Bat-Ami means "daughter of my nation" in Hebrew. It's a heavy name to carry around. I answer to either name. I also answer to "mama." Some Basic Things about me: Animal lover, mom, poet/writer, dramatic soprano, photographer, teacher/tutor, CERT/Technician and, oh yeah, aerospace engineer. I consider myself "The Astro-Poet." To learn more about the origins of the word "zongrik" see whats-a-zongrik?

  2. honestly..i think we should celebrate far more often than we do.. wishing you a merry christmas tammy

  3. Very Festive!!!

  4. Beautiful! I always enjoyed the unique tree decor in CA! Wishing you a very Merry Christmas.

  5. Thank you for the decorated Joshua photo I love the unusual for almost any season or reason.☺. I have lights and one ornament…forgotten by my granddaughter when she moved…on my scheffera plant that reaches almost to the ceiling.
I wouldn’t have done it this year, being alone, but I knew it would please her !

    Peace

    btw…I dig coordinates…a lot!

  10. Wonderful tanka Zongrik, thank you for sharing, Merry Christmas!

  11. I really like the questions this asks. Simplicity for me is the most beautiful. I do love a decorated tree, but isn’t natural just or even more beautiful. The brevity of the poem speaks to that as well. Happy Holidays.

  12. Lovely verse and it is a festive tree.

  13. It’s the spirit that counts. Though wine will carry the day too.

  14. great insights, well done.

  15. Not at all. Hope you are enjoying the season.

  16. I like the thumpy celebratory meter! Happy holidays!

  17. When the spirit moves to be decorative, then is the right time! Like the Joshua tree! Lovely!

  18. Just love it. I’ll be looking for it next week on my way down! Happy New Year, Bat-Ami.

  19. No, it makes no difference at all…the tree doesn’t care one bit! May the coming New Year bring you peace, Bat-Ami.
