radical revolutionaries

Up close - Lettering At Stock Exchange on Wall Street / New York City

radicals and revolutionaries

poison
prison
persistent silence
honored by empty sounds

brutal responsibility
while guarding inncoence:
varying degrees
of untold guilt

violent rhetoric
booms as tryranny continues

bloodshed liberates
but does not placate
radicals and
revolutionaries

Conductor Limerick

Chrles Dutoit conducting Philadelphia Orchestra

Conductor Limerick

A conductor was trying to lead
his orchestra at maximum speed
all the fiddlers kept trying
’til they found themselves crying
when their fingers would not stop to bleed.

A Plateful Of Limericks

A Plateful Of Limericks

A man with a very full plate
did not know the current tax rate.
When he saw his new bracket,
he made quite a racket
and filed his 1040 quite late.

Four Tiptoe Senryu

Alan Bean's "Tiptoeing on the Ocean of Storms" (acrylic on masonite)

Four Tiptoe Senryu

who dared to tiptoe
on the rugged lunar plains
as we gaped in awe

when you have migranes
count twenty tiptoing sheep
pounding ceases

all is so quiet
tiptoe when the sun begins
sleeping roommates

singing the blues
tiptoing though their stories
i live their passion

border kids

Some border kids are pretty aggressive and don’t like being photographed.

border kids

eight years from birth
parents don’t care
no place for vacation
tourists beware
iraq/turkey border
aggressive kids harass
they beg you for money
they’re a pain in the ass

no business
no pleasure
it’s no place
for leisure

why go to school
when bullies abound?
where are the parents?
no where to be found!
an audience watches
and they get in your way
if don’t give them money
they might make you stay

no business
no pleasure
it’s no place
for leisure

no opportunities
nor fortune or fame
wild sassy kids
that no one can time
each day the patrols
shoo them off, hopelessly
they don’t heed them at all
they go on woefully

no business
no pleasure
it’s no place
for leisure
