floaters – flashers

floaters – flashers

floaters
flashers
cobwebs
specks
optimal
detachment

crowded
in obscure
eye
shadowy
darkness

i search
incognito
a scream

isolation
rooted at
the brink
of folds
unraveled

are
you
real?
real?

About zongrik

For those of you who do not know the handle "zongrik," that would be Bat-Ami Gordin. Most people call me "Tammy." Bat-Ami means "daughter of my nation" in Hebrew. It's a heavy name to carry around. I answer to either name. I also answer to "mama." Some Basic Things about me: Animal lover, mom, poet/writer, dramatic soprano, photographer, teacher/tutor, CERT/Technician and, oh yeah, aerospace engineer. I consider myself "The Astro-Poet." To learn more about the origins of the word "zongrik" see whats-a-zongrik?

  4. What came to my mind immediately are those floaters and flashes that happen in our eyes as we age…you know what I’m talking about? They float across our vision…are they really something we’re seeing…or not. I enjoyed it even though I may be completely off the mark here.

  5. Good question. Great write. Thank you.

  6. Wonderful. I’ve had more than my share of both floaters and flashers, so I can certainly relate.

  7. I liked the rhythm of this… You said we saw this from opposite angles… Not sure I agree… I just thing ‘your guy’ is less afraid than mine… Oh, and don’t get me started on flashers, OK? *smile*

  8. Very artistic shot and poem. Carver, ABC Wednesday Team

  11. When i first met her, she scared the hell out of me, and i felt lonely !

  12. Optimal detachment- oh, yes….

  13. The title :”floaters and flashers” hit my medical mode first,
took a deep breath and brought this to the screen…
    this is marvelously written,
I love your flare for words.
    Hope it is fiction. Sigh.
