Portrait of Max

Max is one of the owners of Masa Ramen in Santa Clarita, California, USA . Max’s Dad always dreamed of opening a Ramen restaurant. About 1.5 years prior to this posting, his Dad was able to acquire enough funds to open Masa Ramen. Max came to help out and been there since.

Max always dreamed of being a cook. Before helping his Dad with the restaurant, he trained for two years in small town in Yamaguchi, Yamaguchi; the rural side of Japan. He believed he learned more there about Japanese cooking than he would have in a big city.

Max was born, raised and educated in Santa Clarita, California, USA, so it must have been very different and difficult to train in rural Japan, but it was well worth it. He was an excellent cook. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough. The food was light and healthy tasting,. The flavors were exquisite.

Max had mastered the  ART OF UMAMI and you should give his food a try if you are ever in the area.

About zongrik

For those of you who do not know the handle "zongrik," that would be Bat-Ami Gordin. Most people call me "Tammy." Bat-Ami means "daughter of my nation" in Hebrew. It's a heavy name to carry around. I answer to either name. I also answer to "mama." Some Basic Things about me: Animal lover, mom, poet/writer, dramatic soprano, photographer, teacher/tutor, CERT/Technician and, oh yeah, aerospace engineer. I consider myself "The Astro-Poet." To learn more about the origins of the word "zongrik" see whats-a-zongrik?
