Portrait of Frances

Frances lived in Rancho Palos Verdes, California, USA, but was originally from Pink Hill, North Carolina, USA. She came to California in 1961 with her husband who was transferred by his employers, Harding-Williams food services, a restaurant chain that no longer existed at the time of this posting.

Francis was a registered nurse who worked in hospitals or in employee-health for the commercial sector. Her career included time for Kaiser Permanente and also for DuPont USA, at their Dacron plant. Frances was a charge nurse once in her career, but did not enjoy it, I think because she was a quiet person and didn’t like the responsibility of having to tell people under her what to do. But that’s just speculation.

Frances had three three children, 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She had a wonderful life. She looked forward to having fun every day in her future.

About zongrik

For those of you who do not know the handle "zongrik," that would be Bat-Ami Gordin. Most people call me "Tammy." Bat-Ami means "daughter of my nation" in Hebrew. It's a heavy name to carry around. I answer to either name. I also answer to "mama." Some Basic Things about me: Animal lover, mom, poet/writer, dramatic soprano, photographer, teacher/tutor, CERT/Technician and, oh yeah, aerospace engineer. I consider myself "The Astro-Poet."
