Portrait of Sophia

I met Sophia at Panera Bread, which doesn’t just have good bread but has great soup and salads. In fact, as I made this portrait I noticed that her mom was having my favorite soup, the Vegetarian Autumn Squash Soup, which is only on the menu during the fall months.

I was enamored with the sight of Sophia gnawing on a piece of bread larger than her head. I also liked her hair flower and, of course, her big, big eyes.

Sophia was ten months old. She liked her Great Dane, bread and playing with other kids.

Sophia loved the beach.

About zongrik

For those of you who do not know the handle "zongrik," that would be Bat-Ami Gordin. Most people call me "Tammy." Bat-Ami means "daughter of my nation" in Hebrew. It's a heavy name to carry around. I answer to either name. I also answer to "mama." Some Basic Things about me: Animal lover, mom, poet/writer, dramatic soprano, photographer, teacher/tutor, CERT/Technician and, oh yeah, aerospace engineer. I consider myself "The Astro-Poet."
