Poetic Inspiration

Robin Williams as Mork

Mork

I happen to be someone who really liked Robin Williams’s work. This is my tribute to this great comedian and actor.

Poetic Inspiration

No sign at all; just a millisecond initialized slip of a heart murmur.
He lived in a realm of constant movement, barrel-jammed
full of incandescent, exo-bizzare ingenious babbel.
He moved in disembodied spheres of contiguous contradiction.
Motivation. Incantation. Ordination. Reassertion.

To him, scintillating appetencies were lustrous sirens.
To him, bulletproof permanence was a trans-empirical
extrasensory momentary contiguous inspiration.
To him, enervative colorful uniqueness knew no caution.
Postulation. Encapsulation. Misdirection. Indiscretion.

His charismatic gaudy self-awareness was boundless.
His abstract dialectical gestures wormed into our imaginations.
Aspects of his reality were inviolable: a Gerbil wheel
to break the dysfunctional dullness of a silent full moon.
The congeners of his tortured reality hominified a final NanU.
Determination. Deliberation. Desperation. Detonation.

This day’s challenge was to affected by Robin Williams and then to consider spending a little time with ones demons, or favorite poets. Then, choose at least 3 words from — worm, verse, dreams, suck, rout, daring, caution, seize, dead, desperation, barbaric, noble — write a poem

Dear Brother

Grief stricken Hermione cradling Dobby

Dear Brother

If I were brave, I’d hide from
the gas, the bombs
and even the filthy sky.

But, instead, I sniff my water carefully.
I tune my ears to ultra high pitches
as the television pronounces
and the radio announces
and the smart-phone tickles my fingertips.

It may seem I’m rather helpless,
Dear Brother,
but don’t worry:
I’ll make sure they put a stone on your grave.

slowly, it had to last

Two Parts of the Road as a Whole by Borg de Nobel

slowly, it had to last

slowly, it had to last.
the musky scent behind the ear;
an oily tipped nose;
eyes shielded from the sun;
a taste on both sides of the tongue.

he has no family now.
he wandered off —
two parts to the road
made him whole
when the end was near.

street rubbish

These are my dogs Rudy and Parko. Both were dumped in the street. Rudy followed Hector and me home one day. Parko wandered the streets of LA until animal control picked him up one day. I adopted him from Bichon and Buddies. As many dogs in this world, both were dumped in the streets like…

street rubbish

chipmunks, rabbits
chasing the sun.
voraciously needy
in a love-free breeding ground.

stoned in an alley;
torn ears, battered muzzle.
the deepest wound
is not flesh-bound.

follow the footsteps of another tail  –
a home with no locks
a soft welcome mat.
no more exhaustive accusations.
no longer nameless.
a chance for healthy life.

foam

Carina Nebula – from Hubble

foam

canned cream
at your mouth
in your face

fall flat air bubble fairies
toothlessly smiling
with balding hair
of baby similitude
like bellwort slobber
sputtering radioactive blood

cold,  solid steam
carbonated, chlorinated
fumigated, undulated
meta foam
like carpal fountains
of spread fingers

certified, personified,
versified foam
cools rage
quenches nightmares

smokeless frosting
delivered by messenger service
soothing, illimitable
universal soup of life

Sonnet 42

Black hole shreds star, sparking gamma ray flash

Sonnet XLII

The black hole’s great singularity tow
draws everything into its gravity
cauldron. Pay close attention to it grow.
Since collapsing vigorous cavity
is so different from any explosive,
yet cosmic event that’s been seen before,
annihilation will seem corrosive.
Detectives troll the universe for more
gamma ray bursts. All of the light is sucked
in its massive gravitational pull.
A tidal disruption, an implied duct,
insatiable, and never to get full.
Galaxies harbor black holes in their heart
where mid-sized stars existed at its start.

Olympic Torch Senryu

In the face of oppression the Olympic torch is carried through Britain alongside a Pit Bull. Maybe one day BSL will be lifted there and sights like this won’t be extraordinary.
