Portrait of David
David was from Northern India and had lived in the United States since 1987. He was a postmaster for United States Postal Service in the Palmdale, California, USA office and had been working for the Postal Service since 1990. He really liked his job. When he worked, he didn’t wear a turban.
David was a Sikh who wholeheartedly believed in his peaceful religion, “I believe that whatever you do, that’s what you get back and that’s why you have to be good to other people and always do good things.”

Portrait of Makhan
Makhan was originally from Punjab, India and practiced sikhism. He had been living in the United States for over 28 years.
Makhan was a very religious man who “tried” to be religious by participating in the following: faith my God, keep my principles, I do hard work, I don’t cheat any system and not on anybody, so I can make my money and then give 10% of my salary.
Makhan was dressed in all white because “it is what my Guru Granth Sahib suggested to dress that way.”
