primed to dance

"No performance is a perfect performance but some performances allow for the feeling of perfection. Achieving this moment of ecstasy easily validates all the pain and struggle of the art form by taking us (and possibly our audience) for a moment to a world beyond our own." - Wendy Whelan

primed to dance

rooted
skyscrper spire
steel and glass
lit like city lights

visceral
thoroughbred
musculature
tense

choreography:
obtainable
domination:
possible

insane energy
intractable
juices flowing
creatively

glossy profiles
underlining vignettes
forever opening
nights

in the plum-colored barn

Plum Colored Barn

in the plum-colored barn

the wind was a-drift, they did stop for a rest
(an expected loss in time, on this forced recess)
as they sat amongst shovels, in the plum-colored barn
the friends made strange stitches into some kind of  yarn
in no time the wool became wind-breaker type sweaters
woven with magical runes, symbols and strange letters
thus this secret cabal could progress on their trek
’til they’d needed soft scarves to warm up each neck

Desert Canopy

Autumn Trees on Newgrove

Desert Canopy

sparse hidden life
shaded from tormenting sun
crawling, hovering and hopping
in the early dawn and night

  air clean
  air clear
air oh so dry

in town
man-made oasis
filters radiance

dense canopy
deciduous color
