Portrait of Kevin-2


In this portrait, Kevin was holding a demo of  the 335 Black Series of the Lancaster Solar | SunPower™ by Energy Plus Solar. Kevin had been working for them for almost three years and was the director of marketing in Antelope Valley. In his words, that meant, “I am in charge of filling the funnel when it comes to capturing raw leads and then converting them into deployments so that our sales reps could sell them.”

Kevin was originally from Santa Clarita, California, USA, but he graduated from Palmdale High School and then went to University of California, Santa Cruz. Kevin loved what he did and “wouldn’t want to change it for the world.”

Will was originally from San Francisco, California, USA.

In this portrait, he was doing his daily workout  between classes at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he was enrolled in the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.

Portrait of Jemima


Jemima was a discharge and outreach specialist for Child and Family Guidance Center.  She was originally from Palmdale, California, USA, went to Palmdale High School and studied sociology at University of California, Irvine.

In this picture, Jemima holds little toy geckos that she was handing out as gifts to children as she manned the booth at the Baby Expo of Lancaster, California, USA.

Portrait of Nicole-1


Nicole was originally from Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA But at the time of this interview, lived in Ventura, California. She moved to the area because she was attending University of California, Santa Barbara as a PhD candidate in psychology.

Nicole was emphasizing Clinical Psychology and was writing and submitting her dissertation on a type of therapy which induced people to interact with animals and to engage in various types of holistic healing. This type of therapy is called ecotherapy.

Nicole was working with Craig Chalquist who was the father of ecotherapy. He was going to be one of the expert readers of her dissertation.

Nicole’s baby was due mid October.

Portrait of Jacky


Jacky Long boarded and longboard danced. She was just a beginner and was not competing at the time we had met. She was studying this form at her secondary school, Sylmar High School and once a week she went to University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where she improved via their informal type lessons. She never formally studied dance.

Jacky liked the Peter Pan move, she said, “you lose your balance a lot.” She didn’t wear any protective gear except for sliding gloves which she put on the ground, “and then you could drag your hands” to manipulate movement.

Jacky was 15 years, born in Usulután, El Salvador, but raised in San Fernando Valley, California.
