Portrait of Robert-3

Robert wanted to be a member of the United States Marine Corps (USMC) or play college football. He was a senior in high school and considered himself very athletic.

Portrait of Carl-1

Carl was a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps who marched in Color Guard to show his appreciation for the 5K event which memorialized the life of Marine Lance Cpl. Joseph C. Lopez from the 3rd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton. He had “passed away in combat.” After his participation,  he ran the 5K.

Carl was quite an impressive young man because he was an excellent color guard team member, a fine athlete, an aircraft maintainer, had knowledge of protocol and USA Flag Etiquette and was a sharpshooter. He was originally from Cache, Oklahoma, USA but was participating in operational flight test at Edwards Air Force Base, California.
